Driving is the single-most common cause of work-related deaths. And it’s not just the transportation industry that’s affected. Businesses in all industries are susceptible to vehicle accidents but thankfully, simple behavioral changes can save lives.
WHAT:
Texas Mutual Insurance Company will host a SafeHand Summit in Lubbock to launch its “Give Safety a Hand” driver safety campaign. The Summit will aim to help keep people safe on the road and reduce the number of driving-related injuries and fatalities that occur in West Texas..
The SafeHand Summit will feature two sessions. The first session (8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.) will be a high-level industry roundtable about workplace and driving safety moderated by Pat Niekamp, co-founder and publisher of Texas CEO Magazine.
The second session (10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) will be an interactive training session on OSHA compliance and regulatory changes led by Woody Hill, vice president of safety services at Texas Mutual Insurance Company.
