Westwinds Brass Band to Hold ‘Concert in the Park’ on Sunday, July 3

The Westwinds Brass Band, under the direction of Phil Anthony, will present their fifth “Concert In The Park” on Sunday, July 3rd s, at 8:00 PM at the Gazebo in Wagner Park, 26th and Flint.  Come one and all for our annual “Patriotic Celebration!”

Featured on the concert will be vocalist, Kathleen Felty, singing “Theme from “Cats”, and “God Bless America.”  The trumpet section will also be featured on”Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.”  The band will also perform numerous patriotic marches, and traditional patriotic music.


Each week a “kid’s march” takes place, featuring kids of all ages, led by the “honorary” drummajor of the evening..

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy an hour of traditional brass band music presented by the musicians of the band.

Admission is free and is sponsored by the Tech Terrace Neighborhood Association and the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department.
