The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was called to a one-vehicle crash Friday on FM 48 in Wheeler County, resulting in the death of one person.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., James Henson, 34, of Wheeler, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet pickup truck north on
FM-48, approximately two miles north of Mobeetie. Henson failed to negotiate a curve, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The pickup truck left the roadway and rolled over multiple times. Henson was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Henson was pronounced dead on scene by Wheeler County Justice of the Peace, Mark Brown.
The road conditions were dry and no other vehicles were involved.
