A 25-year-old Wichita Falls man was jailed on $150,000 bond for the alleged beating of a one-year-old boy.
David Skinner is charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury. He bonded out of jail sometime Monday.
Police say Skinner brought the baby to the emergency room on August 19th and said he found him unresponsive on the bedroom floor. Skinner said he was the mother’s boyfriend and was caring for the baby while she was at work.
Hospital staff found a skull fracture and bruises on both cheeks and under his chin and said Skinner told them the baby had also been vomiting. When the mother arrived, she told police the baby had been acting normal with no injuries when she left for work.
A specialist at Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas said X-rays shows injuries consistent with blunt force trauma and abuse.
