WICHITA FALLS, TX — The National Weather Service in Norman has confirmed the
that the Wichita River in Wichita Falls crested Sunday morning.
The river state at 10:44 a.m. was at 21.00 feet. This is believed to the highest the river will rise for this round of activity.
The National Weather Service is forecasting the river to remain in the 21 foot level for at least a 12 hour period, then river levels will fall steadily.
The Wichita River is expected to fall below flood stage some time Tuesday morning.
Unfortunately, more showers and thunderstorms are expected across Texoma this week which could cause more flooding.
