Jail records indicated Heather Marie Lanier, 38, was arrested and charged with Criminal Conspiracy on Thursday, the same day her home was raided by federal agents and Lubbock Police.

Three arrests were made on Thursday after a DEA raid of two residences turned up evidence of the powerful narcotic Fentanyl. Sidney Caleb Lanier, 36, Jessica Christina Holl, 28, and Jamie Marie Robertson, 32, were taken into custody. The United States Attorney’s Office said the three “did knowingly and intentionally combine, conspire, confederate and agree with each other and with persons known and unknown to knowingly and intentionally distribute and possess with intent to distribute a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance.”

According to paperwork filed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, three children were taken into CPS custody from the Lanier’s home. The children, aged 16, 13, and 5, according to documents, were taken to the Lubbock Police station as the narcotics warrant was served by DEA and local law enforcement.

A DFPS investigator was notified that “an illicit drug suspected as Fentanyl was being manufactured out of the home.”

Court records showed that that Heather knew her husband “‘was making his own pain medications.’ She stated she has observed her husband inject himself with the drugs. She stated she is unaware of how her husband was making the drugs.”

Mrs. Lanier told DFPS that her husband “spends all of his time in the ‘man cave’ and her children do not go back there.”

DFPS spokesperson Paul Zimmerman explained he was unaware of any CPS history with the Lanier family, though documents stated an instance where the couple’s middle child was at risk of serious harm.

“The kids are (currently) in foster care,” Zimmerman said. “We are meeting their needs.”

Zimmerman said DFPS was working to find a permanent home, possibly with a family member, for the three Lanier children.

Court records do not yet provide specific information concerning the conspiracy charge.

Calls to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for additional details were not returned as of Friday afternoon.

Heather Lanier’s bond was set at $500,000. Bail for the other three arrestees was also set at half a million dollars, but they were to be held for U.S. Marshals.
