Winter is almost here, and the City of Lubbock wants to ensure citizens that it is ready. On Friday, December 2nd staff will highlight how the City has prepared for this winter season.
“We have purchased new equipment, updated our snow and ice removal policy, and continue to utilize new communication tools to reach our citizens,” Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope said. “We want to share information with our community so that everyone knows how the City will respond to winter storm events.”
Staff will hold a news conference on Friday at 10:00 a.m. It will take place at the City of Lubbock Street Maintenance Yard located at 502 North Interstate-27 (east side of I-27 on the northbound frontage road between Municipal Drive and Erskine Street). Staff will share preparedness, response, and communication plans. Snow removal equipment and supplies will also be on site for pictures and video.
