It was a big game for the Frenship tigers as they filled the Tiger Pit. Not only were these ladies top notch athletes, they were giving back.

“Ultimately that’s what you want your kids to be a part of. It’s something that allows them to give back, that’s why we do this. For the opportunity for them to be part of something that gives back to the community in general just takes advantage of what we do. We’re obviously proud of them,” said Paul Page, Frenship boys basketball coach.

The ladies raised more than five hundred dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“We each shot twenty-three free throws, and then we counted our makes. Out of all the money we raised, ten percent went to Make-A-Wish,” said player Addison Foster.

The Make-A-Wish foundation touched students in the district, which really inspired the team to give back.

“Well, we’ve had some kids in our elementary schools that have been affected by that. Make-A-Wish has come through and provided them with those opportunities to go to Disney Land and Disney World and just fulfill those wishes that they have,” said Trent Hilliard, Frenship girls basketball coach.

“It gives a really good feeling to not just me but to all of us. We know that they appreciate it. We’ve done other community service projects. We just know how much it means to others,” said Foster.
