The Glassy Alley once again used art to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Every piece was different, and there was no need to be a seasoned artist at the event.

“Well I made a heart because that’s the best thing I could draw,” Miss Lubbock Madison Willingham said.

Wish kids and volunteers met recently at the Glassy Alley, turning pieces of glass into art that went on the auction block.

“It’s fun to give back because it’s fun to see all the people that actually help you get to that place that you wish that you want to go to. So I just want to do the same for some other kid,” said one wish kid.

For volunteers, getting to interact with the kids is priceless.

One volunteer said, “It’s really cool to come in and have a mutual thing we can do together. Whether it’s granting their wish or doing these art parties and just getting to hang out with them one on one.”
