The South Plains Chapter of Credit Unions is co-hosting a “Shred Day” on Saturday, September 10th. Shredding is free but donations will be accepted and will go to Make-A-Wish North Texas.

“Whether it’s going to be shredding your bills, your stuff you’ve had around for awhile, maybe you want to shred your ex’s picture, I don’t know, but we wanted to make it something where members could come and accomplish something and at the same time be able to raise money,” Scott Rose, President and CEO of Alliance Federal Credit Union, said. “That stuff you have lying around, that you toss into the trash can, people can get ahold of that kind of thing and they can use that against you. We see it all the time so we would challenge people to shred it.”
