For the last few years, Reagor Dykes Auto Group has supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The company’s involvement is not only financial. It’s also personal.
“Well they’re all special but this is family,” Bart Reagor said. “To see this family going through this is just difficult… You can imagine being parents, that you’re working, you’re raising children and then really on a budget and I’m sure they have an extreme amount of medical bills.”
Reagor is referring to Raymond Ornelas, who’s a detailer for Reagor Dykes Auto Group. His son, Jordan, suffers from a life-threatening medical condition. So together with Make-A-Wish, the company surprised Raymond and his family with a vacation to Dallas.
“Make-A-Wish is a great organization that we’ve been involved with for several years now. They asked if we’d do a send-off here at the Reagor Dykes headquarters building since Raymond works for us,” Reagor said. “He’s a hard worker, you’d never even know all this was going on.”
Last Friday, Ornelas and his family celebrated with the Reagor Dykes family. The trip to Dallas is entirely paid for by Make-A-Wish. Reagor Dykes also provided the Ornelas family with extra spending money to use as needed.
“The company I work for, they support us so much and it’s actually a great pleasure to work for this company. The way they’re helping us like this is, it’s truly amazing,” Ornelas said.
“It’s a blessing. It’s a little bit of relief. It’s stress taken off of us definitely,” Amanda Ornelas added.
