On Monday, following a two-month investigation, Odessa Police arrested Brandi Tyson, 19, who admitted to leaving her 3-year-old son outside of her apartment while she showered.
Back in May, officers were called to Target about a 3-year-old who had been found wandering the parking lot, according to a written statement.
Police said about 40 minutes later Tyson, arrived at the scene and said she had left her son in the care of another adult.
However, police later learned that Tyson was being “untruthful.” The written statement said she finally admitted that she left the 3-year-old boy outside of her apartment while she took a shower.
“The 3-year-old child crossed a busy street,” Odessa Police said, “where vehicular traffic is always present.
Police charged her in an arrest warrant with abandoning or endangering a child.
