Marcelia Sanchez, 19, of Lubbock pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of a child.

Sanchez and Dimitrise Lyghts were indicted in August and Lyghts’ case was still pending as of Tuesday.

In June of 2015, Sanchez admits she agreed to help Lyghts advertise a girl he was prostituting.  The next day Sanchez learned the girl was underage.

Court records said, “Sanchez informed Lyghts that Doe was a minor female, and ‘only 14 or 15 years old.’ Lyghts responded, ‘Honestly, I don’t care how old she is as long as she’s making me money.’”

“Sanchez did in fact use the internet on multiple occasions to advertise for [Jane] Doe to engage in commercial sex acts and she did in fact allow Lyghts to transport Doe in Sanchez’s automobile where Doe would engage in commercial sex acts.”

Court records said Sanchez and Lyghts would drive the girl to various hotels for sexual activity with adult men.  Lyghts gave the girl pills of ecstasy according to the records.

A few days after their initial agreement, both Sanchez and Lyghts were caught by Lubbock Police and arrested.

Sanchez faces up to five years in prison and will be sentenced at a later date.
