Lubbock Police arrested Clara Annette Conner, 54, of Lubbock late Tuesday night for aggravated assault, resisting arrest and assault on a public servant.
Police were called to the 1500 block of East Connell Street. Officers were told that a woman was swinging a frying pan at another woman.
The police report said when officers arrived, Conner told them they had no right to be there and she wanted them to leave.
According to a police report, Conner “refused to tell me her name as well as what had happened to cause this situation.”
The police report said she went onto the balcony of her apartment and began yelling and causing a disturbance for other residents. An officer decided to arrest her.
The police report also said:
“She gripped onto the balcony ledge and refused to let go. I attempted to gain control of her left hand while [a second officer] attempted to gain control of her right hand. When [the second officer] attempted to gain control of [Conner’s] right hand, [Conner] bit [the second officer] on his right middle finger causing pain. [The second officers] then pulled his hand out of [Conner’s] mouth and grabbed her right wrist and placed [Conner] into an arm bar. When placed into the arm bar [Conner] flopped to the ground on her own. While trying to place the handcuffs on [Conner], she grabbed a hold of my right hand and squeezed it causing pain as well as scratching my right hand pointer finger causing it to bleed.”
The report said the initial victim was a disabled woman who happens to also be Conner’s roommate.
Conner was held Wednesday in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $12,000.
