A woman sustained second-degree-burns during a structure fire on Thursday around 12:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of North Stockton Avenue in West Odessa.
Officials with OFR said only one woman lived at the home and managed to get out. However, officials say she went back into the home to save her dogs.
All of the animals were saved from the blaze but OFR officials at the scene said the woman sustained burns after she re-entered the home.
Her identity was not released.
She was transported to the hospital in serious condition according to OFR.
The home is a total loss and officials say they are still investigating the cause.
