The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will perform daytime road closures along the Marsha Sharp Freeway (MSF) Phase 5B project limits this week. The closures will give project contractor Webber, LLC the space needed to accommodate equipment and safely place bridge deck panels on the new Upland Avenue bridge over MSF.

The freeway and Upland Avenue closures will affect traffic Wednesday – Friday (Sept. 7 – Sept. 9) and are scheduled to begin at approximately 9 a.m., each morning after rush hour. Motorists can anticipate various lane closures during this time, as well as closures to Upland Avenue at the freeway, and should expect delays.

During the Upland closure, northbound Upland traffic will be detoured around the work area via the eastbound MSF frontage road and southbound Upland drivers will be detoured to 82nd Street.

All lanes will reopened to traffic each day, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. for the afternoon rush, but closures are possible during the evening hours as work continues. The closures and work will take place weather permitting.
