Xcel Energy has promoted Brooke Trammell to the position of director, Customer and Community Relations, for Xcel Energy’s New Mexico and Texas service area.
Trammell succeeds Brenda Holland, who retired in April. In her new role, Trammell will lead the teams responsible for business and community relationships and will coordinate business-related projects.
Trammell comes to the position having served in Rates and Regulatory Affairs since 2012, with the last two years as the Xcel Energy-Texas rate case manager. Before Xcel Energy, Trammell worked at PNM Resources in Albuquerque after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics and business, and a Master of Arts degree in economics with a specialization in public utility regulation, from New Mexico State University. She is currently on track to complete her master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on management at West Texas A&M University.
“With her regulatory expertise, Trammell understands the complexities of the utility industry and the needs of stakeholders,” said David Hudson, president Xcel Energy – New Mexico, Texas. “She also is articulate and approachable, which enables her to build strong relationships with our partners as we continue to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the infrastructure that will serve our communities for decades to come.”
