The Dallas Cowboys can match the Pittsburgh Steelers for most postseason wins in NFL history when they face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
The Cowboys and Packers have met in some of the most memorable games in the two franchises storied histories: The 1967 “Ice Bowl” which the Packers won 21-17 and the 2014 “catch/no catch” game where Dez Bryant appeared to convert on fourth down, only to have the play overturned. The Cowboys season ended in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Earlier this season, the Cowboys beat the Packers 30-16 at Lambeau Feld in what many consider Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott’s coming out party. They shredded the then-number one run defense in the NFL.
Elliott ran for 157 yards. Prescott threw three touchdown passes, lifting the cowboys to 5-1 with a road win against a team which has now won seven straight games.
Prescott wasn’t phased then and he isn’t now
“I can’t really say we’ve had an expectation talk about what we need to look forward to and what we need to do. I think the importance in my mind for this whole team is just stick together and just be the team that we’ve been and just move forward and keep getting better,” said Prescott.
The Cowboys play Sunday at 3:40 p.m. in Dallas.
