The Dallas Cowboys host the Washington Redskins Thursday at 3:30pm at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Below are Mickey Spagnola’s Keys to the Game:

The first key is short circuit AD, as in all-day Adrian Peterson.  First time around in the cowboys 20-17 loss to the Redskins, the Palestine native ran for 99 yards against the Cowboys.  They cannot allow that to happen again.

The second key is eat-zeke-eat.  In these past two games, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has rushed for a total of 273 yards, and two touchdowns.  He’s added another 113 yards in catches with seven receptions.  They need him to continue to produce at that rate.

And the third key is, no pony ride.  Colt McCoy might be a back-up quarterback starting for the first time since 2014 and he’s only thrown 23 passes in his last 40 games.. The Cowboys cannot allow him to get comfortable in the pocket and allow the Redskins to ride Colt to another victory.

A Dallas victory over the Redskins, puts them in first place in the NFC East.
