Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee respects the history of the game. He’s formed a relationship with Cowboys great Lee Roy Jordan.
One day, he’d like to join him in the Ring of Honor. First, he needs to get a playoff win on his resume.
Sean Lee is ready to go after missing 37 games with various injuries, including an ACL tear since joining the Cowboys in 2010.
“It had been year after year and that’s what was so frustrating. It seemed like every year I found a way off the field. but I knew and I had a lot of support, coaches, teammates and family members say you’ve got a great opportunity, keep focusing on that and that’s what I’ve done and luckily it’s come around,” Lee said.
Defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli says a healthy Lee will be key to containing Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
“So we just have to be able to go execute our defense and make them earn every yard. You’ve got to make them earn it because he is so good. Once he gets outside, he can hit you deep in a moments notice,” Marinelli warned.
Lee says facing Green Bay will be a big challenge.
“They’re a great offense that’s playing at an unbelievable level right now. It will be a tough test for us,” Lee said.
The Cowboys will be at home on Sunday for a 3:40 p.m. kickoff.
