If you want to take a look at the history of Muleshoe or Bailey County, you can head to the Muleshoe Heritage Center.
The center features a number of historic buildings, like a one room school house from Stegall or the Muleshoe depot.
Sandra Chancey, who works with the center, said they get people from all over stop by to take tours.
“We do tours, school kids will come out, of course we have people that have come from all over. We’ve had people from Japan, and Germany, and just all over the world, if they’re coming through this area, for some reason they will, I don’t know if they’ve heard of it or what, but they’ll stop and go through,” Chancey said.
The center is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
“I just think they [visitors] always like to go back and see how things were, you know, just I don’t know, I think they’re interested in history, a lot of people, and it fascinates them to see all this stuff that we have out here,” Chancey said.
