Each year, there’s a one of a kind bike ride in Muleshoe called the Tour de Muleshoe.

There are three different distances available to ride; a 10 mile, a 40 mile, and a 100 kilometer ride.

“They run a triangle distance and this is the first time in four years we’ve got to run our routes because they’ve been working on the highways for the last four years, so we had to do an out-and-back instead of run our triangle routes,” Lonnie Adrian, the ride’s director, said.

The ride is on Saturday, June 18, and it starts at 8 a.m. at the Bailey County Coliseum.

When you register, you get a water bottle, a t-shirt, and a ticket for the dinner.

“We have our meal after the ride, and a lot people enjoy sitting around and getting to visit with other people, and sometimes they may not see them but once a year, at this ride,” Adrian said.

Proceeds from the ride go to the Muleshoe Heritage Foundation.
