SPEEDWAY –
Looking to build momentum following the announcement of the first-ever sellout for the Indianapolis 500, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has launched the “Race to Renew” campaign for current ticket holders. Fans will have the chance to purchase tickets for their current seats at the most recent price.

The campaign begins at 12:01 a.m. on May 30 and fans will have 500 hours to get their tickets. Ticket holders would also have the opportunity to be first in line for upgrades. They will also get a commemorative 2016 Indy 500 DVD, pre-sale access to IMS concerts, special access to “events and experiences,” and commemorative tickets and packaging, among other benefits.

“This has been a year of growth and opportunity for the Verizon IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said Mark Miles, chief executive officer of Hulman & Company. “The 100th Running has been a powerful reminder that the Indy 500 will always be so much more than just a race. The challenge and opportunity for the 101st Running is to ensure this momentum fuels progress in 2017 and beyond. I’m confident we’ll get the job done.”

The “Race to Renew” campaign ends June 8 at 8:00 p.m.

IMS also unveiled the logo for the 101st running of the Indy 500. The speedway says the red, white and blue logo “captures the patriotic nature of America’s greatest Memorial Day Weekend tradition.”
