#6 Texas Tech earned its 30th win of the season with a 7-4 victory over Kansas State and evened the series with the Wildcats.

Orlando Garcia opened the scoring in the top of the first with a triple to right center field scoring Hunter Hargrove and Josh Jung to make it 2-0.

Garcia was at it again in the top of the third this time with an RBI single to make it 3-1, the shortstop was 3-5 with 3 RBI on the night.

Michael Davis extended the lead with a two RBI triple of his own in the top of the fourth to give Tech a 5-1 lead, the junior added a homerun in the 9th to give the Red Raiders a little insurance.

Sophomore pitcher Steven Gingery was solid once again, he went 6 and 2/3 giving up four runs striking out 10, tying a season high. Gingery is now a Big 12 best 7-0 with a 1.48 ERA.

Parker Mushinski came on in relief and threw an inning and a third of scoreless baseball, freshman John McMillon took the mound in the ninth to secure his fourth save of the season.

Game three of the series is set for 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon.
