#8 Texas Tech defeated Kansas 9-2 in game two, to clinch their sixth Big 12 series of the year.
The Red Raiders exploded for nine runs on day two, including a six-run third inning that blew the game wide open for Tech.
Tech freshman left-handed pitcher Steven Gingery (4-1) earned the win, and tossed seven shutout innings, while only allowing three hits, two walks and adding four strikeouts.
Due to inclement weather, Sunday’s series finale against #8 Texas Tech and Kansas has been moved up to 10 a.m. in Lawrence, KS.
