The Abernathy Antelopes loss in the post season left them hungry and wanting more out of themselves in 2016.
The Antelopes were able to get past round one in the post season, but met up with a rough Wellington team that put an end to their season.
Consistency from quite possibly their strength…their offensive and defensive lines will be key for the Lopes to make it back to the post season and beyond.
“We got beat in bi-district by Wellington. Yeah that;’s not a good feeling. Even though that’s a great year at times for people, but we expected more. The kids fought and played hard. We’re hoping this year we take a little farther and get down the road in the playoffs a little farther,” says Coach Darrell Dailey.
“As a senior I’ve been through a lot. Over the past the guys…we’ve had good groups in the past….great groups. Right now we’re capable of being even better than we were before. I’m not really scared,” adds senior lineman Xavier Rivera.
