The Abernathy Lady Lopes were coming off an undefeated district season as they started the bi-district playoffs against Vega on Tuesday at Canyon High School.
The Lady Lopes struggled early in the game, falling behind 32-23 at the half. In the second half, Abernathy came charging back to send the game to overtime tied at 50. Abernathy would come out on top in the extra frame, 59-54.
Next up for Abernathy is the area round where they will face Canadian.
