This college basketball season six different teams have held the ranking as the nation’s No. 1 team.
Villanova named the AP’s newest number one team after previously top-ranked Oklahoma fell at Kansas State.
That’s the way this season has been. Full of upsets and no real clear cut favorite.
So, what has that led to? Court storming.
It seems that week after week another ranked team falls to an unranked opponent.
Most recently, Texas Tech knocked off No. 14 Iowa State 85-82 – their biggest win of the season – and the court storming was on.
Some may argue there’s an unwritten rule that storming the court should only come after a win over the nation’s No. 1 team.
