Four Red Raiders scored in double figures in Texas Tech’s 69-48 win over Incarnate Word.
Shadell Millinghaus and Justin Gray scored 14 points each to help Texas Tech improve to 6-and-1.
Zach Smith added 13 and Keenan Evans finished with 11 and a team-high five assists.
The Red Raiders had 14 assists on 28 field goals.
“That means we’re playing unselfish basketball,” Texas Tech head coach Chris Beard said. “I thought we drove the ball well tonight, made enough free throws to win.”
The Red Raiders scored 40 points in the paint and outrebounded Incarnated Word, 36-26.
Texas Tech led by as many as 24 points and held off the Cardinals who used a 16-0 run to get back in the game early in the second half.
The Red Raiders return to action against Rice at 1 p.m. Saturday at the United Supermarkets Arena.
