If fans were looking to fulfill a baseball sweet tooth after months of no hardball, they got their fill on Thursday for the National College Baseball Hall of Fame First Pitch Luncheon. Coach Tim Tadlock of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Coach Nathan Blackwood of the LCU Chaps, and members of the Texas Rangers organization were on hand for previews of the upcoming season. Rangers starting pitcher A.J. Griffin and analyst and former player Mark McLemore were the featured Rangers. E.C. and Tim Leslie were awarded the Kal Segrist award for their contributions to youth baseball and it’s growth in the Lubbock area.
