Arkansas head football coach Bret Bielema is stirring the pot once again with Texas Tech’s Kliff Kingsbury.

This time jokingly asking for a “formal apology” after the Red Raiders brought in an Arkansas transfer, Willie Sykes to open fall camp.

“Texas Tech is the one guy that I don’t break bread with on an annual basis. I was more than happy to call Gibby (David Gibbs, Texas Tech defensive coordinator), and joked with Gibby that I wanted a formal apology from Kliff. I was just joking. And I’m sure he understands where I’m coming from,” Bielema said.

If you can remember, Kingsbury and Bielema’s fued escalated after Kingsbury ripped Bielema in his post-game press conference after defeating the Hogs 35-24 in Fayetteville in 2015.

Sykes comes to Texas Tech after his true freshman year in fayetteville after recording nine tackles in 12 appearances for Arkansas last season.

Sykes attended Spring high school, just north of Houston. He will have to sit out the 2016 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but will be eligible for the Red Raiders in 2017.
