EAST LANSING, Mich (WLNS) — Tom Izzo and his Spartan team are headed to Minneapolis today after securing a spot in the Final Four. They’ll play Saturday night against Texas Tech.
Right now, it’s the calm before the storm. The MSU team is finishing up its final East Lansing practice of the season and will soon head out of the Breslin Center and board the bus for the ride to the airport.
There they will catch their flight to Minneapolis where they are scheduled to land late Wednesday night.
In the videos above, Fred Heumanni sat down with Tom Izzo prior to his team leaving and asked him to reflect on his emotion in the closing moments of the victory over Duke Sunday, which penciled the spartans into the Final Four.
