The Brownfield Runnin’ Cubs looked to avenge last years’ regional final loss to Childress with one of their own on Saturday at Midland College.
Brownfield got off to an 18-0 run to start the game, before taking a 29-10 into the second quarter. The Runnin’ Cubs didn’t relent, forcing Childress into 19 turnovers to Brownfield’s 8. The Runnin’ Cubs would go on to win, 80-58. Alex McCrary led Brownfield with 30 points and 5 assists.
Next up for Brownfield, they will take on East Chambers in the state semifinals.
