The LCU Chaps were back at home Thursday night, looking to get above .500 in Heartland Conference play.
 
With the Newman Jets in town, the Chaps were in for a tight race to the end that saw LCU come out on top as they held off the Jets, 73-66.
 
The Chaps were led by Tyler Rogers with 19 points, followed by Ridrell Holman who pitched in 13 of his own.
 
The win moves LCU to 3-2 in Heartland play and 9-4 overall. Next, LCU hosts Oklahoma Christian Saturday at 3 p.m. at Rip Griffin Center.
