Texas Tech golfer Clement Sordet, one of France’s brightest young golfing stars, has turned professional.
The 22-year-old, whose amateur career included representing France at last year’s World Cup, will make his professional debut on the European Challenge Tour in Slovakia this week.
Sordet has joined the world-renowned International Sports Management stable, whose clients include major champion winners Louis Oosthuizen, Darren Clarke and former world No.1 Lee Westwood.
“It was always my aim to turn professional once I had finished college–It’s my dream job,” Sordet said. “My aim is to excel as a worldwide player and I feel ISM is best placed to help me realize that goal.”
ISM managing director, Chubby Chandler, was delighted to learn of the addition of Sordet to ISM.
“With his outstanding success at both the collegiate and top amateur levels, I’m convinced Clement has the potential to enjoy a very successful career as a professional,” Chandler said.
Sordet is currently 22nd in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and was a member of last year’s European team in the Palmer Cup. He became one of America’s top collegiate golfers while at Texas Tech University, winning six collegiate titles.
