This first round playoff matchup had a little more of a personal feel to it for Coronado coach Seth Parr.
Parr was the head man at Caprock for seven years before leaving to take over as the Mustangs head coach.
At one point Coronado was down 28-7 but fought all the way back to take the lead on a Jarrod Compton touchdown run with less than two minutes remaining.
The Longhorns attempted a field goal in the final seconds to win the game but it fell short allowing the Mustangs to escape with 41-40 win.
