The Coronado Lady Mustangs rallied to win game two of the series but couldn’t complete the comeback in the deciding game.
Canyon won 5-2 ending Coronado’s season and marking the last time Jimmy Johnson will coach the Mustangs.
Coach Johnson has been part of 22 straight district championships, and over 500 wins. The longtime coach will move into the LISD athletic department at the end of the year.
J.J. Johnson was true legend among the coaching ranks here in LISD.
