The Coronado Lady Mustangs grabbed their first District 2-6A win over Monterey, 54-50, Tuesday night at Monterey High School.
Mariah Garza led Coronado with 14 points while Bailey Walden and Ayana Segrest each pitched in 11 points.
Monterey’s Chelsea Hunter led all scorers with 20 points with Braylan Dollar added 14 points of her own.
Monterey travels to Amarillo this Friday while Coronado is set to host Amarillo Tascosa.
