The Lady Mustangs defeated the Lady Plainsmen, 11-0, Thursday evenign at Lady Plainsmen Field.
Kaitlynn Dawson sparked the offense with a 2-run homerun in the first inning. She also brought it in the circle as she struckout the side, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
Next for both teams, Monterey will travel to Amarillo High while Coronado is set to host Amarillo Tascosa.
