Changes abound across the South Plains as many teams try to put it all together for a successful 2016 campaign.

Some programs will feature new faces not only on the field, but on the sideline as well.  Add to that realignment and you have the makings of an interesting season.

Such is the case for new Cotton Center head coach J.K. Hester.  Some tough district foes in Whitharral and Amhearst.

“We know that we’re going to have to step up when we play them.  They’re going to be tough as nails.  Amhearst is going to have about 20 kids.   They’re going to have a lot of depth. Whitharral just always knows how to win.  They’ve got that tradition going for them.  And you can’t exclude Kress and Lazbuddie. They’ve got enough talent to do some damage as well.  It’s gonna be a dog fight.  As far as our kids are concerned, We’ve got some big kids.  We’ve got some size.  We’re definately going to ground and pound and try and make a run at this thing.”
