Estacado hosted Sweetwater Tuesday night in a Class 4A matchup.
The Mats came out slow and led by 5 at the end of the first quarter. Then Estacado went on a 30-6 run to close the half. That run was led by Christian Bennings with 18 and Ri’Taje Smith with 15 points. The Mats went on to get their second district win.
Estacado goes on the road to face Lamesa this Friday, the January 22.
