The Estacado Matadors hosted Levelland on Friday with a share of first place in the division on the line.
The Matadors got off to a hot start, taking a 14-3 lead on a monster jam by Ritaje Smith. But the Lobos would fight back, including a Nick Gerber three pointer at the end of the first quarter to pull the Lobos within 2. But the Matadors would be too much, as they’d go on to win 68-52.
Next up for Estacado, they will host Big Spring on Tuesday to finish off the regular season while Levelland will host Sweetwater on Tuesday.
