Lady Raider Legend Krista Gerlich returned to Lubbock to face the Lady Raiders for the first time as a head coach on Thursday. But the UT Arlington coach’s team was stymied by her alma mater 79-60. Gerlich was a key part of the Lady Raiders 1993 National Championship win over Ohio State. The Lady Raiders got out to a 28-5 first quarter lead that they rarely religuished. Jada Terry had her fifth career double-double and Recee Caldwell added a game high 20 points on 4 for 7 from behind the arc in the win. The Lady Raider finish non-conference play with a record of 8-3. They will open up Big 12 play on December 29th in Austin against Texas.
