Changes galore for the Frenship Tigers in 2016. They will join the likes of Tascosa, San Angelo Central, Odessa Permian, Odessa High, Midland High, and Midland Lee in District 2-6A.
A bitter home loss to El Paso Eastwood in the first round of the post season last year has the Tigers hungry to win and prove that what happened last season, shouldn’t have.
“It was a bad taste. Especially losing on home field. That was a pretty bad way to end our season. But it’s my senior year. I have one more year to…last shot. I’m pretty fired up this year,” says senior Wide Receiver Alfonso Augilar.
“That makes us mad. We don’t like to lose at home. Eastwood was a great team, but we feel like that’s just going to motivate us to be better, ” explains Senior Quarterback Chandler Brand.
Coach Brad Davis is looking forward to seeing this experienced group of players hit the field this season with something to prove.
“If you’re really passionate about this game like we are, every year is a new team. A new personality and new adventure. It’s a lot of fun.”
The Tigers begin their quest for redemption August 26th at home against El Paso Montwood.
