Gibbs Taking Risks on Defense, the One Shining Hope Remaining

As bad as Texas Tech’s defense has been through it’s first three games, there have been peaks and valleys.

More valleys than peaks – but a Dr. Jeckyl & Mr. Hyde characteristic if you will.

The crazy thing is that the unit has arguably had it’s most success when it’s gone Mr. Hyde on the opposition.

In many key spots, Texas Tech’s defense blitzed on third down situations against LA Tech.

However, the one thing they have been missing have been the turnovers.

Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he isn’t sure what the rhyme or reason is, but once it happens they tend to come in waves.
