In the midst of Texas Tech’s Chris Beard taking the job as the Red Raiders head basketball coach, priority number one was keeping the current players on the roster.
Anytime you have coaching turnover, the biggest fear to follow, is the player turnover that could follow.
On the current 16-man roster, nine of those players signed up to play for the Red Raider ex-head coach Tubby Smith, but according to the players, Beard recruited the current players on the roster, just as much as the seven newcomers he brought into the program this spring.
