Texas defensive end Breckyn Hager took the social media world by firestorm yesterday after he said he wanted to ‘injure’ Texas Tech’s quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
However, it would be reasonable to surmise that it might be the only way Texas will slow down Mahomes, given how bad the Horns have been on defense.
Texas ranks 9th in the Big 12 in total defense, just one spot above Texas Tech.
However, they might be coming off of their best game yet in which they held Baylor to 34 points.
During Tuesday’s post-practice availability, Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury addressed Hager’s comments.
