After a 4-8 season the topics of discussion for Kliff Kingsbury and the Texas Tech football team surrounded what when wrong a year ago, and deservedly so.
However, the Red Raiders tone this spring can best be described as anxiously ready to start the 2015 season and remove the bad taste in their mouths after an underwhelming end to the 2014 campaign.
Although turnovers stuck out like a sore thumb for most of last season, Texas Tech also fielded one of the worst statistical defenses in the entire country. Therefore, most will agree that the Red Raiders success or demise this upcoming season will be decided by whether or not first year defensive coordinator David Gibbs can turn around the Matadors defense.
