Head coach Kliff Kingsbury and several of his staff went down to Midland on Monday night to meet with the Red Raider faithful.
The subject quickly turned to Kingsbury’s incomplete staff, after running backs coach Jabbar Juluke left to take a job at Louisiana State University.
“Really, just before spring ball,” Kingsbury said about the timetable to get another coach in Juluke’s place. “Didn’t want to rush it, was really surprised about Coach Juluke and (now) excited for him.”
As for his newest hire, Karl Scott, a cornerbacks coach from Louisiana Tech, the head coach thinks he got a young rising star for his staff.
“People were raving about him,” Kingsbury told the media on Monday night. “We had heard good things about him…From Texas originally and wanted to get back.”
