Kliff Kingsbury and the Texas Tech football team met with the West Texas media on Sunday afternoon, and Kingsbury continued to beat the drum, saying this is the most confidence he has felt in a team since he’s been the head football coach at Tech.
A big reason for that confidence is the return of his junior quarterback Patrick Mahomes who is coming off a season in which he scored 46 touchdowns, and threw for almost 5,000 yards.
Hard to believe there are many things that Mahomes can improve, when coming off a season like that, but Kingsbury says it’s the routine plays, that himself and Mahomes have focused on the most.
